Where We Started.
Our Company History
Stanley J. Glenn established Fab-Steel in September of 1955. He began his operation in a 900 square foot office and a 1400 square foot shop. His company specialized in the fabrication of structural steel and building all sizes of above ground and underground storage tanks. In 1971, Mr. Glenn retired and the company operations were taken over by his son Stanley L. Glenn.
Fab-Steel continued operations until 1993, at which time the name changed to Glenco, Inc. At that time, tank production ceased and Glenco, Inc.’s resources were devoted entirely to structural steel fabrication. In 2010, Mr. Stanley L. Glenn Retired and his son Matthew L. Glenn took control of the company.
Our Certification
In 1967, Fab-Steel was nominated, elected, and received membership into the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). For over 35 Years, Glenco has remained in good standing with AISC. In 1990, Fab-Steel earned special certification through the AISC Quality Control/Quality Assurance certification process. The yearly certification process indicates that Glenco meets or exceeds the standards set forth by the AISC. These Standards indicate that we have the personnel, experience, knowledge, equipment, and organization to produce quality structural steel for Conventional and Complex Steel Building structures. Glenco has always maintained high standards. AISC indicates to our customers that when they use our steel they are getting a quality product from a quality shop at a fair price.
Experience and Qualifications
Since 1999, Glenco, Inc. has completed work in twenty states including New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, California, Missouri, Oregon, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas, Washington, South Carolina, Mississippi, Minnesota, Georgia, Oklahoma, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, and Utah.
